Artist Reception, Sunday, August 22, 3:00-5:00 PM
Special music by The Fernhill Quartet
This is the largest exhibit of my work to date, with approximately 58 pieces ranging in size from 3" to 48".

Steeped in rich tradition, The Harpeth Hall School, home to Marnie Sheridan Gallery, hosts only 4 exhibitions a year. The large gallery space affords oversized works of art for display and sale. Lori Putnam will be our honored artist this coming August, with approximately 40 new works available. Anne Was, the gallery's Director, had this to say, "In a culture filled with stagnant and therefore uninteresting painters, Lori’s approach breathes real freshness and life into her paintings. While so many artists find a niche and never venture from it, Lori seems determined to keep pushing her boundaries, learning and changing even as she is teaching her students to do the same. To me, that fearlessness is a rare and distinctive quality. It makes her art sing."
American Art Collector Magazine is featuring a two-page spread on the exhibit in their August issue.

Bring a lunch, plenty of water, and bug spray.
If you have never painted the ranch, or even if you have, you won't want to miss this. The Lee family tells me there will be baby calves about that time! Rolling hills, creek, horses, vistas, barns, cows... BEAUTIFUL landscape.
No pre-registration necessary.
When you arrive at Bedford Creek Road, please follow the signs to a "check-in" point marked by balloons. There you will find information about getting around the ranch, what there is to paint, where the restrooms are, mark where you think you may be so others can meet up with you, and some bottled water. Even if no one is sitting at the check in table, please sign in so we can report back to OPA a head count for the day.
We will take a group photo near the original check in point at noon. Please attend if possible.
If you have questions, please email me.
