I just celebrated my first 10 years as a full time artist. That’s about 30,000 hours of work. For most of my life (starting at about 9 years old) I saw myself as an architect, and had a very successful practice for over 30 years. At 52, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to pursue new career as an artist. Since then, I have never regretted that decision. So after ten years of intense work and study with my favorite artists like Ray RobertsLori Putnam, and John Asaro, I wanted to find a way to create a leap in my abilities as an artist. I thought long and hard about how to do that, and decided to go back to basics.
