Traveling by Air to Paint this Year?

This quick tip could save you lots of worry and regret.

If you are traveling by air to paint this year, print out this label (or type up something similar) to include in your checked luggage.

According to the TSA, you may even "carry-on" tubed artist oils of 3 ounces or less in a ziploc bag. Remember though, all luggage and materials are subject to being searched and discarded. While I have never had a single tube of paint taken from me, that does not mean it will always be that way. ALWAYS be kind and courteous to TSA officials and relinquish any of your supplies upon request. In doing so, the worst that can happen is you get to visit a nifty art store when you land, or in the event that there are no art stores, you will learn to find and make friends with other painters very quickly.

Safe travels! Hope to see you out there somewhere.
