Hurricane Harvey Relief
Help for Hurricane Harvey. Everyone wins.
Own this original Lori Putnam oil of the famous Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN and help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in the process.
This piece was chosen because it is currently located at Jack Meier Gallery in Houston, TX. The painting is of the lobby of one of the country's most famous hotels and is also a favorite hotel of the artist. Lori and her husband Mark visit whenever they can and have fond memories of anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations here. Last year for their 25th wedding anniversary, the Putnams stayed here once again and Lori snapped several pictures to prepare interior works for the Houston Gallery.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Lori felt the need to do something for the people of Texas and to help her gallery. She has decided to donate her portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting to relief efforts. The gallery will also benefit from receiving their portion of the sale. "Houstons won't likely find a need to buy art for quite a while," says the artist. "This seems like a win-win for everyone. Texas will benefit, the gallery will benefit, and a 25th anniversary memory and relief effort story will hang in someone's home as a reminder of what love and kindness can do in our world."
